A great teacher is a person who is willing to grow by learning about how learners learn. A bit redundant of the word LEARN. Many teachers can teach, explain, narrate, compare, contrast, evaluate, report, grade, among other qualities. But, a great teacher is the person who verifies if at least 60% of the class has that knowledge tattooed in his brain. I would change the word teacher to educator.An educator has the responsibility to really get know every single details of the class. An educator focuses on creating an ambiance of comfort, designs the class to the weakest learner, engages with the learners likes and dislikes, promotes vitual citizenship, establishes healthy relationships with the learning community and interacts with society to make it an holistic learning experience.
A teacher, rather than being the person who imparts knowledge, content, text or explain works on specific topics. should be a guide, an intermediary between the student in the learning method, should also be a recipient of the views of students, someone who respect what students think, see, discuss and learn about such content. a good teacher should create autonomous, critical, analytical, safe, able to face the future and society. a good teacher also allows students to explore their environment, and society. a teacher should reinforce the values for all the people and the same, to work well with the surrounding reality and allow its face. a good teacher should be always remembering his friend role, a person that students can trust, and something very important to instill communication between student-teacher

Teacher should always remember is guide in knowledge, we prepare for encourage children to new opportunities and challenges in life. in the old school had the firm idea that the teacher was the center of learning and the student only had to both receive the concepts given by the teacher, the teacher's main feature was to have extensive knowledge of the concepts I had to teach students and classes were based on a unilateral system in which the student was limited only to listen and learn the concepts taught.
